Installation & Replacement
Installation done right the first time
Whether it's a new appliance you've purchased or a unit being replaced after diagnosis, RidgeCore handles connection, leveling, and startup verification as a complete job.
Installation
What's involved in an installation visit
-
Confirm requirements
Water, gas, venting, and electrical requirements are confirmed against the specific appliance model before the visit.
-
Delivery-day or standalone installation
RidgeCore installs new appliances on delivery day or as a standalone visit once the unit is on site.
-
Connection and leveling
Proper connection, leveling, and secure fit — including anti-tip anchoring for ranges where applicable.
-
Startup verification
The appliance is run through a startup cycle to confirm it operates correctly before the visit ends.
-
Old unit removal (if applicable)
When replacing an existing appliance, RidgeCore coordinates removal of the old unit as part of the same project.
Replacement Coordination
When repair isn't the right call
Replacement coordination exists for the moment a repair estimate no longer makes sense — an aging unit, a repair cost close to a new unit's price, or a component that's no longer available. RidgeCore documents why replacement was recommended and manages the project end to end.
-
Diagnosis documents the case for replacement
A repair diagnosis that shows replacement is the better option becomes the starting point — not a guess.
-
Review options together
RidgeCore discusses what a suitable replacement needs to meet — dimensions, connections, capacity — based on your space.
-
Coordinate removal and installation
Old-unit removal and new-unit installation are scheduled and executed as one organized project.
-
Service history continues
The replacement is recorded in CORELINK ServiceOS, continuing the appliance's documented history at that address.

Property managers coordinating multiple installations at once should see property management service.
Microwave installation detail
Over-the-range venting and cabinet mounting have their own requirements — see the microwave installation page.
Protecting Your Home
Why floor, cabinet, and countertop protection matters
Installation and removal involve moving a heavy appliance across finished flooring, in and out of cabinet openings, and sometimes past countertops — any of which can be scratched, chipped, or scuffed if the path isn't protected first. Before moving an appliance, RidgeCore protects the travel path and the appliance itself:
- Floors: runners or protective sheeting along the path the appliance travels, especially on hardwood, tile, and LVP.
- Cabinets and door frames: corner and edge protection where a unit passes through a tight opening, such as a built-in dishwasher or microwave bay.
- Countertops: covered or cleared before disconnecting anything mounted near or under a counter edge.
- The appliance itself: handled to avoid denting panels or damaging finished surfaces during transport within the home.
What To Expect
Before, during, and after an installation
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Before | Requirements are confirmed against the specific model (dimensions, water/gas/venting, dedicated circuit if needed), and the path the appliance will travel is identified. |
| During | Floors, cabinets, and countertops along the path are protected; the old unit (if any) is disconnected and removed; the new unit is connected, leveled, and secured. |
| After | The appliance is run through a startup cycle to confirm normal operation, the work area is left clean, and the visit is recorded in CORELINK ServiceOS. |
